3 Dark Signs of a Spiritual Awakening
It’s not always pleasant.
When you’re starting to see the truth, it can be incredibly uncomfortable. It’s far easier on many levels to keep going on the way most people do — blind to how they fit into the rest of the universe and how everything has meaning. There’s energy and consciousness pervading everything. Trees, mountains, animals, the sky — you name it, it’s alive. It’s all connected. It sometimes just seems less stressful to stay mindless and oblivious.
Unfortunately, spiritual awakenings don’t usually leave us with a choice. We must see the truth and take it in. Parts of it are fabulous and lift us up, helping us make sense of our lives. For instance, knowing that all things in the universe are meaningful can give you a lot of clarity on the events that have transpired in your life. But there are dark parts, too.
When you’re forced to see all that’s really going on and you can’t look away anymore, you see all of the selfish and awful things that humanity is engaged with. You can feel loneliness, too, when you’re the only one around who sees things for what they are. In addition, you’re forced to see yourself for what you really are, along with all of your flaws. It’s rough.
Let’s get deeper into the dark night of the soul and understand why spiritual awakenings can be so…
