Great article, I was recently considering quitting my ‘daily post your writing’ activity in the one Facebook group I’m in and this is the motivation I needed. However, I will say that I don’t think I fit into those four categories — maybe there’s a fifth for ‘people who just stumbled in here without a purpose’. Also I’ll say that there are some really supportive people I’ve met in those who have either started following me because of it or strengthened their bonds with me. So it’s not all bad. But I still think you’re right, some writers I know who are successful on medium never engage in the Facebook groups.
