If I Can Get a White Feather, Why Can’t I Get the Lottery Numbers?

I am like totally over it.

The spirits that watch over me can produce a white feather to show me they’re there. They can make one hundred license plates with the number 222 on them. They can manipulate my tarot cards and even whisper in my ear. They can speak in cryptic symbolism to me in my dreams and have the most unusual wild animals cross my path. The possibilities never end.

They know how to show me that they’re there.

It’s really great until I realize that a white feather is nothing to get excited about anymore. It was cool like the first ten times.

If they can make a white feather appear out of nowhere, then why can’t they put money in my bank account? I mean I don’t need a million dollars, but that would be nice. I’d take like ten dollars just to be shown that it’s possible. After that, I probably would ask for a million. But I feel like all I’d get is a million white feathers. Is someone up there laughing at me?

I wonder why it is that a white feather or a black cat can be produced out of thin air, but I can’t get the lottery numbers.
