On Wearing Masks in the Middle of the Woods

I have recently encountered people many times on hiking trails in the middle of nowhere. I drive way out to a nature preserve where there is always plenty of space and go walking in the woods. There’s a big lake and some wildlife, and yes, sometimes humans. And where there are humans these days, there are sometimes masks. Often, there will also be negative feelings and fearful behavior, as this, unfortunately, coexists with humanity frequently. To me, there is no reason to wear a mask outdoors especially in a remote hiking area, yet I will see people from the same household walking together in the woods with masks covering their faces.

It doesn’t make sense to me.

When I have been in the silence of the woods for more than half an hour, my frequency starts to tune to that of nature. I start to feel the trees whispering in my mind. I feel at ease, happy to be alive. You can imagine my excitement to see a human being emerge from the brush and thickness of the trail — another human being like me! The excitement is instantly dissipated if they’re wearing a mask. I was hoping to see their entire face.

Faces are the point where we visually give good energy to each other. I smile at them, but I can’t tell if they’re received my good energy or are smiling back. Mostly…
