We’re All Masochists Just for Being Alive
Why on Earth would we choose to be here?
If you believe we chose to incarnate here and learn soul lessons in human form, it really begs the question: Why?! Dude. Life is awful sometimes. Did you not realize this before you decided to be alive on Earth? Do you like pain?
I mean, this place is painful. I’m not even talking about world political events and climate change and all the major things people worry about as a collective. Like…it’s awful just to be an individual enduring a Monday morning.
Life is hard, guys. I mean, I write about universal love and bliss, but I am human, too. I have been crushed with pain. Disappointment. Grief. Confusion. Maybe the worst version of the suffering on Earth for me is in wondering why are we here? Because it just doesn’t seem like we ever really get ahead.
It takes a mountain of effort to buckle down and meditate every day to find bliss and happiness within. It is just so hard for some reason. This is probably what we’re here to do and it’s the most challenging challenge we will ever face. Even when we’re sitting still we are blasted constantly with heartache and responsibilities.
