Why Does Tarot Work?

A guide for the skeptic who understands reality

I didn’t really believe in tarot until about a year ago. It’s a form of divination — but how can cards tell you anything about life? It seemed so ridiculous to me. But since then, I’ve realized that all material objects are not what they seem, so why can’t a card be a vessel of information?

Our lives are conscious journeys. All of our experiences are part of a manifestation of consciousness that is constantly shifting. All things in this world are quantum creations of the mind — our minds and the great mind which we’re all part of. “Things” aren’t real. It’s all a quantum manifestation. Consciousness pervades.

So, on the more specific level, if objects are products of consciousness — whether it be ours or the oneness of consciousness we are mere parts of — then tarot cards are part of this great story. And they can tell us things.

It takes trust and it takes faith, I won’t deny that. But I believe that the cards can tell us a story. They read the script of our lives.
